DADITAMA Conference on New Evangelization

Digos City, Davao del Sur, Philippines – The DADITAMA Conference on New Evangelization officially commenced on March 11, 2025, gathering delegates from the Archdiocese of Davao, Diocese of Digos, Diocese of Tagum, and Diocese of Mati.

The conference began with the arrival of delegates in the morning, followed by an afternoon session that included Praise and Worship, Welcoming and Orientation, and an Opening Mass presided over by Most Rev. Guillermo D. Afable, DD.

The evening program, dubbed the Fellowship Acquaintance Night, started with a warm welcome from the hosts, followed by an introduction of the delegates by diocese, complete with lively yells and presentations.

Rev. Fr. Richard Laquinon, led the opening prayer, while Rev. Fr. Edilberto Mahinay, delivered the opening remarks. The delegates then participated in a simple yet engaging icebreaker activity to help them get to know each other better.

The highlight of the evening was the evangelistic presentations prepared by each diocese, showcasing their unique reflections on faith, evangelization, and spiritual growth.

Rev. Fr. Rex Barte, from the Diocese of Tagum delivered a powerful spiritual message, further deepening the delegates’ understanding of their faith. The evening concluded with the beautiful Marian Hymn, “Salve Regina,” sung in honor of the Blessed Mother, Virgin Mary.

The DADITAMA Conference on New Evangelization aimed to foster spiritual growth, renewal, and a deeper understanding of new evangelization among its delegates, who included pastoral directors, catechetical directors and coordinators, GKK directors and coordinators, diocesan presidents of lay councils, superintendents of Catholic schools, Evangelization 2033 coordinators, Charis presidents, youth directors and coordinators, FLA directors and coordinators, and SOCCOM directors and coordinators.
