OLMMP: 46 Altar Servers Commissioned in Sending Forth Ceremony

After completing their renewal recollection on Saturday, March 8, 2025, forty-six altar servers were formally commissioned in a Sending Forth Ceremony on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at 8:30 AM.

This sacred occasion, led by Rev. Fr. Jesus Samaniego, Parish Priest of the Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Parish, and coordinated by Emmanuel Ronolo, marked the altar servers’ renewed commitment to serving at the altar with faith, dedication, and humility.

In his homily, Fr. Samaniego emphasized that altar serving can be a stepping stone to priesthood, sharing his own experience of being an altar server since Grade 4, which helped nurture his vocation. He encouraged the youth to be role models in today’s society, urging them to stay away from gangs and negative influences while embracing a life of faith and service. He also reminded parents to be patient and understanding of their children’s youthful behaviors, guiding them with love and encouragement.
