Rejoice Jerusalem!

(An excerpt of the homily of the Most Reverend Romulo G. Valles, D.D. during Laetare Sunday at San Pedro Cathedral Parish, San Pedro St., March 30, 2025.)

Rejoice Jerusalem and all who love her, be joyful all who were mourning, exalt! Can we survive the journey because sin the power of darkness will always pull us, very enticing.

This Sunday the tone of the Church is stick to it, smile a bit, we will make it. Rejoice, katawa kay we can see the end.

“Oh God, who through your Word, reconcile the human race in a wonderful way, grant we pray that with prompt devotion and eager faith that Christian people may hasten toward the solemn celebrations to come.”

“Whoever is in Christ is a new creation…we are ambassadors of Christ,” very hopeful! As if God is appealing to us, through us, kita ang promoters. Paul says, yes we are sinners but also we are ambassadors of Christ as if God is speaking through us. Each one can be ambassadors of Christ.

“Taste and see the goodness of the Lord.” The Lord is real, ma taste nimo ma-see. This Sunday we are made, we are encouraged to continue on the journey, we will survive in our faith.
