Journeying with Santa Maria

Journeying means traveling form one place to another. Journey in life is our travel from birth up to our death. For most the trip takes many years. We want our life’s journey to be safe and pleasant. Because of this we want Sta. Maria to be our companion in our Trip. We know she will protect us and provide all our needs. She will be with us from the start until we reach our destination which is heaven.

Two incidents in the New Testament how she hears for anyone who calls on her for help. When the worried hosts of a wedding in Cana told her they have no more wine, Sta. Maria immediately told Jesus. Obedient son, Jesus made his first miracle by turning water into wine. San Jose and Sta. Maria brought 12 year old Jesus to Jerusalem for the Passover ceremonies. On returning to Nazareth, they rushed to Jerusalem at once to look for him without rest for 3 days and nights. Sta. Maria will do everything to make our life’s Journey safe, comfortable and worry free if we beg her to join us. Our daily prayers, attending Sunday masses and participating in parish activities are strong signals to Sta. Maria that we are sincere in asking her protection in our life’s journey. She appeared to Diego in Guadalupe, Mexico to Marie in Lourdes, France to children Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia in Fatima, Portugal with the message: that she will intercede for us to God and that she will always be with us when we call on her.
