CFC Central B-CLP Lord’s Day Celebration: A Joyful Welcome to New Members

The Couples for Christ (CFC) Christian Life Program (CLP) culminates in a deeply meaningful event known as the Lord’s Day Celebration, a spiritual gathering that marks the beginning of a renewed faith journey for its participants. Inspired by the Jewish Sabbath, this celebration is a time of worship, thanksgiving, and fellowship, where symbolic rituals such as candle lighting, blessings of bread and wine, and shared meals honor God’s presence and grace.

On Saturday, September 13, 2025 the CFC Central B community, composed of the Cabantian, Juliville, and Mandug Units, came together to celebrate this sacred occasion. The evening began with heartfelt prayers and the lighting of candles, symbolizing Christ as the guiding light. The blessing of bread and wine followed—an act commemorating Jesus’ resurrection and the unity of believers in Christ. Scripture readings and prayers of thanksgiving set the tone for a night of reflection and joy.

Each unit prepared vibrant presentations to welcome the new members. The CFC Choir offered a soul-stirring song, while new members, alongside their household heads, showcased their God-given talents through drama, song numbers, Zumba, and dance performances. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, celebration, and awe as testimonies were shared, stories of transformation, renewed marriages, and personal encounters with God’s calling through the CLP.

Many participants expressed deep gratitude to Rev. Fr. Orlando “Orly” Angelia, parish priest of St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish whose encouragement led them to join the CLP. His unwavering support for the CFC community continues to inspire, as he challenged members to initiate another CLP early next year. As part of the ongoing mission, St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish is preparing to host a “Kasalan ng Parokya” on September 27, 2025.

A week prior, the Indangan Unit of CFC Central B held its own Lord’s Day celebration, equally filled with grace and spiritual fervor. Beyond these communal gatherings, families are encouraged to observe the Lord’s Day in their homes as a weekly expression of gratitude for God’s blessings.
