Observance of All Saints Day and All Souls Day

Love of God between husbands and wives, between parents and children are the most important parts of the culture and beliefs of all people worldwide. Honoring and remembering our dead ancestors, relatives and friends is a beautiful aspect of human life.

The TAJ Mahal mausoleum was built by an Indian Rajah as a sign of his deep love and sorrow for his dead wife. We treat cemeteries and graveyards with respect and as sacred grounds. The Catholic tradition of honoring the dead every year through masses, prayers and visits to cemeteries is an important part of a religious ritual we inherited from the Jews.

Through the All Saints and All Souls’ rites, we keep alive our belief that our beloved parents, our wives, husbands, children, relatives are happy in heaven and keeping watch over us who are still here on earth. Our November 1 and 2 visits to cemeteries allow us to pass on to our children, grandchildren and relatives this beautiful religious tradition of remembering the dead members of our families. Observing All Saints Day with great solemnity and appropriate religious ceremonies is a sign that we join the entire Christendom in remembering and more important, thanking the Saints for all they have done for the church.
