SMPRP Joyfully Conducts 3rd Parochial Marian Exhibit

In line with the celebration of the Month of Holy Rosary and with hearts full of joy and devotion, the faithful of St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish in Buhangin, Davao City opened the 3rd Marian Exhibit last October 19, 2025, at the Parish Seminar Hall. The week-long celebration, themed “Santa Maria sa Kanunay’ng Pagrosaryo: Sumbanan sa Paglaum sa Katawhang Nagapanaw niining Tuig sa Hubileyo,” is a tribute of faith, love, and gratitude to the Blessed Mother, the perpetual guide and intercessor of all who seek hope in their journey of faith.

The opening ceremony was led by Bro. Francis Valde, with the ribbon cutting graced by Mrs. Arsenia Barimbao, Parish PSK Coordinator, and Ms. Hermelita Mapute, Parish SoCCom Coordinator. Their symbolic act of opening marked not just the beginning of an exhibit, but a renewed commitment of the parish community to live in prayer and unity under the loving mantle of Mary.

Throughout the week, parishioners and visitors from Zones 1 to 10 were encouraged to participate in the daily spiritual program which included the Holy Rosary at 4:30 p.m., a video and reflection on the life of Mama Mary at 5:00 p.m., and the Holy Mass at 5:30 p.m. The activities fostered a deeper reflection on Mary’s faith and her example of steadfast hope amidst life’s challenges. Each day was also sponsored by various parish zones and organizations, showing the vibrant collaboration among the faithful.

The exhibit featured stunning Marian images representing the Patronesses of each zone, displayed to highlight Mary’s many titles and virtues. Each statue told a story of faith—of families who pray together, of children inspired by Mary’s humility, and of communities bound by love and service. The exhibit became a sacred space of prayer and reflection, where devotees offered flowers, whispered petitions, and felt the comforting presence of the Mother of God.

The celebration reached its joyful conclusion last October 26, 2025, with a dual culmination during the Eucharistic Celebration of the Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time presided by Rev. Fr. Orlando Angelia, Parish Priest. The day marked both the closing of the 3rd Marian Exhibit and the culmination of the Marriage Enrichment Seminar (MES) organized by the Family Life and Apostolate – Pangulo sa Kristohanong Banay (FLA-PSKB). During the Mass, five couples who had completed the seminar renewed their marriage vows, a touching testament to the enduring power of love rooted in faith.

The week-long celebration was a radiant reflection of the parish’s devotion to Mary—a community united in prayer, strengthened in faith, and filled with hope. As the faithful gazed upon the many faces of the Blessed Mother, they were reminded of her timeless message: to trust in God, to persevere in love, and to carry peace in their hearts.

The 3rd Marian Exhibit stands as a beautiful reminder that under the mantle of Santa Maria sa Kanunay’ng Pagrosaryo, every faithful finds hope, guidance, and the tender embrace of a Mother who never ceases to intercede for her children.
