Strengthen Commitment Through Marriage Enrichment Seminar

The Family & Life Apostolate (FLA) and Pangulo sa Kristohanong Banay (PSKB) of the St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish, Buhangin, Davao City headed by our FLA Coordinator Brod. Maurillo & Sis. Delia Frias successfully conducted another milestone in our mission the recently concluded – the Marriage Enrichment Seminar (MES) Batch 35 and the renewal of marriage vows of five (5) married couples who participated in the aforementioned event last October 25-26, 2025, Saturday & Sunday, respectively.

Despite of numerous activities that our parish had, we were nevertheless able to hold the aforementioned event; amid trials and busy moments, God often tested our faithfulness to carry out His will, the mission given to us. This seminar fosters a deeper connection through activities like shared reflection, goal-setting, spiritual growth and building a stronger foundation for their marriage. It also pointed out the importance of forgiveness and grace in the family describing it “a school of deeper humanity” shared by Fr. Orly Angelia during his talk on Theology in Marriage.

The most profound part was that the inclusion of the renewal of their marriage vows during 3:30 p.m. Holy Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Orlando Angelia, our Parish Priest and FLA Spiritual Director of the Archdiocese of Davao. The fellowship celebration was held right after the Holy Mass at our parish gym, courtesy to the FLA/PSKB family’s support and generosity; the Dumapias brothers, Sis. Joy Balan and Fr. Orly Angelia serenaded the newly renewed couples, they were astonished and grateful on how memorable said event happened in their married journey.
