GKK Immaculate Conception DECA Cabantian 14th fiesta 2025

14th Patronal Fiesta: A Celebration of Faith, Service and Community

On December 8, 2025, the Gagmay’ng Kristohanong Katilingban (GKK) – Immaculate Conception of DECA Homes, Cabantian joyfully gathered to celebrate its 14th Patronal Fiesta, a day filled with prayer, thanksgiving, and fellowship. Rooted in faith and strengthened by unity, the celebration reflected the community’s deep devotion to God and its commitment to serving one another.

The day began at dawn with the Diana (Pamukaw) at 5:00 o’clock, awakening not only the streets of DECA but also the hearts of its people. This was followed by the Holy Mass at 8:00 o’clock in the morning presided over by Fr. Orlando A. Angelia, where the community came together as one body in Christ to offer prayers of gratitude for God’s countless blessings.

After the Eucharistic Celebration the program formally opened with an invocation led by Bro. Cyrus Catin, asking for God’s guidance throughout the day’s activities. The singing of the National Anthem by Alena Roces reminded everyone of their shared responsibility as faithful citizens and stewards of their community. Emy Gestuveo of PSK warmly welcomed the participants, expressing gratitude to all who served selflessly in making the celebration meaningful.

Special recognition was given to the PSLs, Lay Ministers, LCCP, Altar Servers, and Gift Bearers, whose faithful service continues to strengthen the spiritual life of the parish. Uplifting performances by the Choir and LCCP enriched the program, offering praise through song and fellowship. Followed by dances performances of each ministry, LCCP, Lay ministers, Choir, Handmaids, PSA, Senior Citizens and HOA Officers.

Words of encouragement were shared by PSK, Emy Gestuveo, who emphasized unity, cooperation, and love for one another as foundations of a strong community. The raffle draws brought joy to seniors, women, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and the Handmaids of the Lord, reminding everyone that each member of the community is seen, valued, and cherished.

A heartfelt message from HOA Interim President Atty. Camille Joy C. Gestuveo inspired the community to continue walking together in faith, service, and shared responsibility. This was followed by the blessing of food and fellowship lunch, a meaningful moment that reflected the Christian value of sharing God’s blessings with one another.

The afternoon activities including Zumba, a friendly basketball game between the Parish and PSLs/Lay Ministers, and the Liga games celebrated the joy of fellowship, healthy living, and sportsmanship.

As evening came, the celebration continued with soul-lifting songs by the Youth Group, followed by a lively disco that allowed the community to rejoice together. Guided by the Masters of Ceremonies, Leisan Gudic and Lawrence Ampoan, the program flowed smoothly from start to finish.

The 14th Patronal Fiesta of GKK-DECA Homes with its Patroness, Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception was more than a celebration—it was a living testimony of faith in action. Through prayer, service, and joyful fellowship, the community was reminded that when God is at the center, unity flourishes and love abounds. May the spirit of this celebration continue to inspire the GKK Servant Leaders (GSLs) and Members of GKK Immaculate Conception, DECA to grow stronger in faith and compassion for years to come.
