2nd Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Youth Apostolate Fiesta honoring St. Juan Diego

Last December 6, 2025, the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Youth Apostolate joyfully came together to celebrate its 2nd Youth Apostolate Fiesta, honoring St. Juan Diego, a humble and simple man chosen by Our Lady to be her messenger. The celebration was not just a festivity, but a meaningful gathering of faith, service, and unity among the youth of the parish.

The day began with a Holy Mass presided over by the Parish Youth Apostolate Spiritual Director, Rev. Fr. Ritzchild John S. Cariaga, DCD. In his homily, Fr. Dan gently reminded the youth that the Holy Mass is the heart of every celebration. He encouraged everyone to remain faithful in their service, especially during moments of difficulty, and to always return to prayer and the Eucharist for strength. His words resonated deeply with the youth, reminding them why they serve and who they serve for.

After the Mass, a fellowship dinner followed where the different zones gathered to share food, laughter, and stories. It was a simple yet meaningful moment of togetherness, one that reflected the joy of being a community and the beauty of sharing a meal as one family in Christ.

The program proper then officially began with opening remarks from Rev. Fr. Ritzchild John S. Cariaga, DCD, who expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the youth, leaders, and volunteers for their unwavering love and service to the Church. This was followed by an inspiring message from our parish priest, Rev. Fr. Maximo R. Bahinting, DCD. With his warm and joyful spirit, Fr. Max shared how amazed and proud he was to see how alive, active, and dedicated the youth are in the parish. His words affirmed the efforts of everyone who continues to serve, often quietly and selflessly.

The celebration continued with the St. Juan Diego Look-Alike and Festival Dance Contest, where the youth actively participated with enthusiasm and creativity. These activities were filled with laughter, cheers, and friendly competition, highlighting not only talent but also unity and teamwork. Each performance reflected the vibrant spirit of the youth and the joy of celebrating faith through culture and fellowship.

Indeed, the 2nd Youth Apostolate Fiesta was a beautiful reminder of what it means to journey together as young people rooted in faith, inspired by the humility of St. Juan Diego, and committed to serving God and the Church with joyful hearts. (Kristelle D. Billones – Parish Youth Coordinator)
