OND Jubilarians 2025: A Celebration of Enduring Fidelity
A jubilee of Consecrated Life is always a celebration of God’s fidelity and blessings. On December 8, 2025, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, the Congregation of the Oblates of Notre Dame (OND) gathered to praise and thank God for the significant milestones of their sisters: the 60th Jubilee of Sr. Regina Javier, OND, and the 50th Jubilee of Sr. Isabelita Lucero, OND.
Fr. Nestor Silva, OMI, served as the main presider and homilist during the Eucharistic celebration held at the OND Convention Hall, Tamontaka, DOS, Maguindanao del Norte. The theme anchoring the celebration was the joyful and powerful affirmation from Psalm 89:1: “I will sing of your Faithfulness, O God.”
Sr. Regina, born in Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija on August 11, 1947, has lived her 60 years of consecrated life inspired by her joyful motto: “I will give thanks to you O Lord, my God, with all my heart; I will glorify Your Name forever.” She made her first profession of the evangelical counsels on January 1, 1966, and her final vows on May 1, 1971. Throughout her ministry, she has been engaged in school and parish ministries and served in a foreign mission assignment in Midland, Texas, USA.
Sr. Isabelita, born in Sampaloc, Manila on January 11, 1947, made her first profession of vows on May 1, 1975, and her final vows on March 25, 1981. Her personal motto, “By the grace of God, I am what I am,” has been faithfully lived through her missionary endeavors in the OND’s Pastoral and School ministries, including a Mission Exchange in Midland, Texas, USA.
Sr. Isabelita Lucero and Sr. Regina Javier have poured out their lives in service, faith, and love for 50 and 60 enduring years, respectively. Grateful for the gift of grace and inspired by the purity and obedience of the Immaculate Virgin, their perseverance is not merely a record of human effort but a living song—a profound witness to God’s unwavering and ever-present faithfulness. (Sr. Marilou P. Fernandez, OND)
