PSK Gathering a Success
Nearly two thousand GKK servant leaders, particularly the Pangulo sa Katilingban (PSK), gathered at the UIC Gymnasium on December 13, 2025. Guided by the theme “Strengthened in Communion, Renewed in Mission,” the participants were spiritually enriched through the Eucharistic celebration, inspiring talks, and communal prayer.
The Holy Mass was presided over by Most Rev. Romulo G. Valles, D.D., Archbishop of Davao, and concelebrated by Fr. Michael Ondras, Fr. Dexter Veloso, Fr. Rolando Mandreza, and Fr. Russell Bantiles, GKK/BEC Director. Also present after the Mass were Fr. Rodrigo “Digs” Salac, Fr. Roy Mejias, and Fr. Severino “Ben” Capulong.
The first talk, which focused on walking together as a synodal Church, was delivered by Fr. Bantiles. The participants were then invited to reflect on the message through a Conversation in the Spirit, allowing them to deepen their understanding and commitment.
Four laypersons—Christine Joy, Arsenia, Clarita, and Arlene—shared their personal testimonies on how they live out their faith and how their respective GKKs have helped them fulfill their mission in life.
In the afternoon, Australian psychotherapist Ms. Nowena Arquillano Piispa animated the gathering, leading the participants to rediscover joy through an engaging and interactive session. Her talk centered on the Joy of Believing and Joyful Service, with participants actively taking part in the activities.
The gathering concluded with the praying of the Divine Mercy Chaplet, marking a prayerful and grace-filled end to a successful PSK assembly. (Vicky L. Estoque)
