National Bible Month 2026: God’s Word Brings LIFE To Our Hearts And To Our Homes

God’s Word Brings LIFE (Love, Integrity, Faith, Engagement) To Our Hearts And To Our Homes. This is the theme for this year’s National Bible Month. Today, Bible Sunday in the Philippines is also Sunday of the Word of God throughout the world since Pope Francis promulgated it.

The Word-made-flesh can only bring love if, like Jesus, we are ready to do good to those who persecute us. We can live in integrity if, as servants, we are not corrupted ourselves but remain whole in our pursuit for holiness. Faith is realized by entrusting, believing and doing as we promised in our baptism, and doing away from a life of dichotomy. Engagement is a call for synodality, compassion to the poor and communicating God’s goodness to others.

Today, we are again reminded to be inspired and be guided by the Word. So, have a Bible. Read the Bible. Pray and share using the Liturgical Bible Study (LBS), and live what you have read and shared.
