Archdiocese of Davao SoCCom Ministry holds 1st Regular Monthly Meeting for 2026

The Parish Social Communications Committee (SoCCom) heads, members and social media enthusiasts joined the 1st Regular Monthly Meeting for year 2026, held at Spirit Hall, DVDMFI Building, San Pablo Parish Compound, Juna Subdivision, Matina Davao City.

The monthly meeting was held in two parts: Part 1 Holy Rosary and Part 2 Meeting Preliminaries & Formalities in which the Holy Rosary was led by assigned Parish SoCCom Heads who arrived early at the venue. The Spirit Hall was filled even more with grace when members joined the prayer, with the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the image of Saint Carlo Acutis (the Patron Saint of the Internet Users), were venerated.

After the Holy Rosary, a roll call was made to check the attendance of the Parishes of each of the eight Vicariates. Out of 43 Parishes, there were 26 Parishes who attended, represented by their respective Parish SoCCom Heads/Coordinators and representatives.

As the meeting progresses, the following agenda was discussed: Evaluation of the following 2025 events (Archdiocesan Penitential Walk, Parish-level Penitential Walk, SoCCom R&R and Spiritual Synergy and SoCCom, DXGN Anchors and DVDMFI Volunteers Christmas Party, DVDMFI Departmental Concerns: Program, Marketing and Social Media, Announcement of members comprising the Archdiocesan Commission on Social Communications, Archbishop Thibault Media Awards 2026, Shaping Gospel Bearers (SGB) Schedule, New SoCCom Logo Committee Members, Other Matters and Director’s Time.

The Social Communications Committee Ministry is a beautiful opportunity to serve the church by using the gifts that God gave us.For it is in the moment of serving, that we already proclaimed the love and word of God.

The schedule of the Archdiocese of Davao Parish SoCComs Monthly Meeting is held every fourth Saturday of the Month.To those who wish to join the Social Communications Ministry, kindly see your Parish SoCCom Head or Coordinator.
