GKK Our Lady of Peñafrancia Deca Chapel Launches Ongoing Project: Storage Room and New Function Area

The Gagmay’ng Kristohanong Katilingban (GKK) of Our Lady of Peñafrancia Deca Homes Esperanza Tigatto Chapel has begun an ongoing project to construct a storage room and a new function area within the chapel premises. The ongoing project aims to improve the chapel’s facilities for GKK-based activities, gatherings, and community events.

The chapel storage room will provide a more secured and more spacious area to keep the chapel materials and equipments, while the new OLP function area will serve as a venue for GSL meetings, catechism sessions, Youth Formation and fellowship activities offering the GKK members a more comfortable space to gather.

The OLP chapel holds three major yearly events that highlight its meaningful community life: the feast of Poong Jesus Nazareno on January 9, the Installation Anniversary of the Poong Jesus Nazareno on August 16 and the Feast of Our Lady of Peñafrancia on the 3rd Saturday of September.

The new chapel facilities will help accommodate these celebrations and elevate the experience of GKK GSLs, members, devotees and visitors alike.

Members of the GKK, together with volunteers and chapel leadership headed by PSK Dr. Christhoffer P. Lelis – Project In-charge, are actively collaborating in the project, ensuring it meets the chapel’s needs and builds a sense of camaraderie among the faithful.

This initiative upholds the community’s enthusiasm and dedication to improving the chapel as well as the community life through practical developments that support both spiritual and communal activities.
