A Day of Giving: Highlights from our Mobile Blood Donation Drive

The St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish successfully held its first-quarter Mobile Blood Donation (MBD) drive on Sunday, February 22, 2026, in collaboration with Southern Philippines Medical Center Blood Production Services. The MBD is a cornerstone program of the Parish Social Action Ministry (PSAM), thanks to the dynamic leadership of Sis. Eloisa Doña, our amazing MBD Coordinator, and the invaluable support and guidance of our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Orlando A. Angelia and PSAM Coordinator Bro. Joel L. Corage. The active participation of all 57 GKKs greatly contributed to the event’s success.

Fr. Angelia’s commitment extends beyond guidance; he serves as a true inspiration to all, being a regular blood donor himself, alongside Bro. Junifer Francis Valde, Bro. Ian Murillo, Bro. Junhel Galleposo and several dedicated parish staff members.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the Pangulo sa Alagad (PSA) members, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, making everything run smoothly from setup to cleanup, and ensuring everyone was well-fed. The MBD in-charges in each GKK played a crucial role in coordinating and spreading the word!

A massive thank you to our superhero medical team – the doctors, nurses, and medical technologies from SPMC, who volunteered their expertise and care. And the biggest cheer of all for our 151 incredible blood donors, the true stars of the day, who rolled up their sleeves and gave the gift of life.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Let’s give it up for our donors and, above all, for the grace of God, who made this extraordinary event possible! What a day of community, compassion, and celebration! (Mariclu Mateo-Alpas, PSA of St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish)
