Alay Kapwa: The Heart of Prayer in Every Home

The St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish launched its annual Alay Kapwa house-to-house prayer initiative during the Lenten season, starting with preparations last February 16, 2026. To ensure the proper implementation of the Alay Kapwa in each household within the GKK, PSAM Coordinator Bro. Joel L. Corage led a dry-run session. This session was attended by the Servant Leaders and prayer leaders from all 57 GKKs.

During the dry- run, Bro. Joel Corage demonstrated the correct placement of altar paraphernalia and conducted an actual demonstration of the Alay Kapwa rites. This hands-on approach ensured that all participants thoroughly understood and could confidently perform the rituals.

The Alay Kapwa Launching was integrated into the Holy Mass on February 22, 2026, at 3:30PM. The Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Orlando Angelia, presided over the Mass. Selected Pangulo sa Alagad (PSA) carried the candle, alms bottle, estampa, Crucifix, Holy Bible, and the Alay Kapwa Guide to the front of the altar. Fr. Angelia blessed the GKK Servant Leaders, entrusting them with the responsibility of leading the Alay Kapwa prayers from February 23, 2026, until March 29, 2026.
