Catechists of Sto. Rosario Parish Holds Recollection at PME Rest House
More than one hundred catechists from Sto. Rosario Parish held a full-day recollection on March 14 at the PME Rest House, dedicated to prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal.
The recollection aimed to nourish the spiritual life of the catechists and strengthen their commitment to their vocation as teachers of the faith. The participants were guided through meaningful reflections by Joan Lipomano, the speaker. Her input encouraged the catechists to reflect more deeply on their mission to witness to the Gospel and accompany others on their journey of faith.
The activity was facilitated by Mildred Sasam, the parish’s Head Catechist, who helped organize and guide participants throughout the day’s program.
In addition to the input talk, the catechists participated in group sharing sessions, where they discussed their experiences, challenges, and joys in ministry. This dialogue fostered a stronger sense of unity and support among them as they continue their mission to pass on the faith to the parish community.
The recollection also included periods of silence and personal prayer, allowing the participants time to reflect and deepen their relationship with the Lord who calls them to serve.
The spiritual gathering concluded with the celebration of the Holy Mass at 4:00 PM, officiated by Fr. Jess Samaniego, Parish Priest of Sto. Rosario Parish. During the Eucharistic celebration, the catechists offered thanksgiving for the blessings of the day and prayed for renewed strength and dedication in their ministry (SRP-Toril)
