Forgiveness
It is difficult to forgive when the wound is deep. It is also difficult to ask for forgiveness when pride rules. That is why the season of Lent is a time of healing, and a call to humility.
To forgive requires time. It is neither automatic nor a one time event but a process. It needs going beyond the past and the hurting experience. It means not allowing pain to kill love but look forward maximizing the good at hand.
If you find it difficult to forgive, have a gaze at Jesus on the cross. While on the cross He cried to the Father for forgiveness because the perpetrators do not know what they are doing.
With hearts humbled asking for healing, let us journey with Jesus with pain brought about by our sins, the sins of us all. We ask the Lord that our country may be truly healed from each one’s sins. We renew our hope and continued cry for forgiveness knowing that “God does not get tired in forgiving.”
