Hundreds join “Run for a Cause” to support Seminary and Catholic Radio
March 14, 2026, the streets came alive before dawn as more than 400 runners gathered for the “Run for a Cause: Takbo para sa Radyo at sa Seminaryo 2026,” a fundraising fun run dedicated to supporting the mission of the Diocese of Mati. The activity was led by Most Rev. Abel C. Apigo, D.D. together with Rev. Fr. Bryan Bermejo, radio station manager, and Rev. Fr. Donald Fernandez.
The event aimed to raise support for the formation of future priests at St. Therese Propaedeutic Diocesan Seminary and to sustain the operations of the Catholic radio station DXDV 97.5 Spirit FM and DXHM 549 kHz AM, which continue to proclaim the word of God throughout the diocese. Through this initiative, participants not only promoted health and unity but also contributed to strengthening the Church’s mission of evangelization in the community.
The activity also reflected the strong collaboration of clergy, lay faithful, and supporters who came together for a shared mission. Beyond the race, the event served as a reminder that every step taken helps sustain the Church’s ministries—forming future priests and keeping the message of faith alive through Catholic media.
