In An Unexpected Moment

It was a rainy Saturday morning on February 28, 2026, and he was prepared to give his scheduled recollection talk in another Parish. What first appeared as an unexpected change became a blessing, an opportunity to meet for the first time, the GKK and PSK Coordinators of the Archdiocese of Davao.

As he entered the Marian Hall of San Pablo Parish, he was welcomed with warm smiles. The group, led by Vicky Estoque, joyfully sang “Welcome to the Family,” creating an atmosphere of belonging and friendship.

Rev. Fr. Dioscoro R. Saniel, the current BEC Director expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Bishop George Rimando, who was present during the gathering. Any anxiety Fr. Lord may have felt about “filling big shoes” gradually faded as he reflected on the Sunday’s Gospel of the Transfiguration.

In the reassuring words of Jesus to His disciples telling them to “Rise, and do not be afraid”, his heart found quiet strength, deeply assured that he was not alone in fulfilling his mission. (Karen V. Sison, San Pablo Parish SoCCOm | Photos by Catherine Sison)
