Labor Transfigured: 28th Feast of St. Joseph the Worker GKK, Gallera de Oro
Rev. Fr. Anthony “Dondon” Silvosa presided over the 28th Fiesta mass celebration on May 1, 2026, centered on this year’s theme, “San Jose: Kauban ug Sumbanan sa Panaw Balik sa Amahan.” Fr. Dondon reminded the faithful to transform the sweat of daily toil into a sacred offering.
In a stirring call to action, he urged the congregation to mirror the silent, tireless strength of their patron. He emphasized that while we labor with our hands, we must never enslave our souls to the grind.
This milestone celebration served as a profound awakening, challenging every worker to find the “holy” in the “humble” and to reclaim the Sabbath as a bridge to the Divine. Through the example of St. Joseph, the community was reminded that every step of their “Panaw” is guided, and every labor is a path leading back to the Holy One. (Marissa Yee)
