SFAP La Verna hosted Leadership Workshop

The Seminar on Planning, Organization, Leadership, Control (POLC) with Facilitation workshop was conducted in St. Francis of Assisi Parish, La Verna last Saturday, April 25, 2026, spearheaded by the Formation Group through Ms. Delia Pulmones, Parish Coordinator. Coach Sisoy Kintanar was the Speaker. He set the mood for all attendees through FIT, made each session Fun, Interactive and Transformational.

The whole-day workshop was attended by 42 participants with Pangulo sa Katilingban (PSKs) from the 22 GKKs, Ministry Heads, and Core Group, held at the Parish Pastoral Hall. It was the 1st batch for POLC. The succeeding batch will include Groups and Organizations within the Parish. Fr. Emmanuel “Bong” Gonzaga, Parish Priest, said that POLC is part of the ongoing Formation for all Ministry Heads, GKK Servant Leaders, and those committed to serve wholeheartedly. It will include a revisit to the Vision-Mission of the Parish.

Fr. Bong emphasized the need to focus on the 4 key virtues: Faith, Humility, Obedience, and Patience. He further said that it will prepare leaders to embrace the spiritual journey by working together collaboratively, with Active Listening, Openness, and the Heart.

The enriching Seminar was a timely, relevant, and helpful tool to accomplish tasks and fulfill the mission by learning the secret to successful planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. As Coach Sisoy said that a good leader knows and follows our Risen Lord Jesus Christ who teaches us the true and humble way to lead. (Lea Bernaldez)
