Honoring Mary, Celebrating Faith: The First Sta. Cruzan of Christ the King Parish–Kauswagan

Christ the King Parish–Kauswagan joyfully celebrated its first-ever Sta. Cruzan, marking a historic milestone that reflected the parish’s deepening Marian devotion, vibrant faith, and growing unity as one community. The celebration gathered parishioners, families, and devotees in a beautiful expression of Catholic faith and Filipino tradition, honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary through prayer, procession, and devotion.

The event began with a solemn program followed by the grand procession featuring the different Reynas and sagalas, each representing biblical and historical figures that reflect the virtues of faith, hope, purity, and service. Adorned in elegant gowns and accompanied by beautifully decorated arches, the participants brought to life one of the Church’s most cherished Marian traditions, inspiring everyone present to deepen their love and devotion to the Blessed Mother.

As the first Sta. Cruzan ever held in Christ the King Parish–Kauswagan, the celebration became more than just a cultural tradition, it became a testimony to the parish’s growing unity and commitment to preserving the rich heritage of the Catholic faith. The success of this memorable event was made possible through the collective efforts of the parish clergy, parish organizations, volunteers, benefactors, participants, and the faithful who generously shared their time, talent, and support.

As Christ the King Parish–Kauswagan celebrates this historic first Sta. Cruzan, may it inspire future generations to continue honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary with steadfast faith and devotion. May this beautiful tradition continue to strengthen the unity of the parish and draw more people closer to Christ through the loving example of Mary. (Christ the King Kauswagan Parish SoCCom)
