A Memorial Chapel: Where Memories Become Prayers

August 17, we blessed our renovated Memorial Chapel at Sto. Rosario Parish.

Many of us remember that this was once our Adoration Chapel. Now that the Adoration Chapel has been transferred to the other side, this space has been given a new purpose: to become our Memorial Chapel—a place to remember and pray for our departed loved ones.

The Gospel of Matthew 19:16-22 reminds us of the question, “What good deed must I do to have eternal life?” Everything we have in this world is temporary. What remains is our relationship with God and the love we have shared.

This chapel is more than a place where names are written. It is a place where memories become prayers.

Beginning today, our Monday morning Mass will be celebrated here as a Misa Recitata, offered especially for our dearly departed.

Those who wish to have the name of a departed loved one inscribed on a wooden brick in the Memorial Chapel may participate by giving a fixed contribution of ₱10,000. This will also help support the continuing projects and needs of our parish.

I am grateful to everyone who helped make the renovation of this chapel possible. Our parish journey continues, and there are still many projects to accomplish. Let us continue building our parish together, according to our means and with a generous heart.

May this Memorial Chapel become a place where memories become prayers, sorrow becomes hope, and love continues beyond death.
