HCDC Bajada Campus Reopens with a Blessing for BSMT Students

The Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) officially reopened its Bajada Campus for students of the Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT), marking another milestone in the institution’s continuing commitment to providing a conducive environment for learning and formation.

The reopening ceremony took place following the Flag Ceremony and the welcoming remarks of the HCDC administration, led by the School President, the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), and the Dean of the Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT).

The gathering brought together administrators, faculty members, staff, and BSMT students as the community welcomed the renewed use of the Bajada Campus. The reopening signifies HCDC’s efforts to support the academic formation and professional preparation of its marine transportation students.

A significant part of the occasion was the blessing of the entire Bajada Campus, presided over by Rev. Fr. Cirilo “Lolong” Bermudez, HCDC School Chaplain. Fr. Lolong blessed the different areas and facilities of the building, offering prayers for God’s guidance, protection, and blessings upon everyone who will study, work, and serve in the campus.

The blessing served as a reminder that education at HCDC goes beyond academic excellence. The institution continues to place importance on the integral formation of students—academically, professionally, spiritually, and personally.

With the reopening of the Bajada Campus, HCDC looks forward to welcoming its BSMT students into a renewed space where they can pursue their studies, develop their skills, and prepare themselves for their future vocation and service in the maritime industry.
