The Most Rev. Romulo G. Valles, D.D., Archbishop of Davao, presided over the Order for the Blessing of the Printing Area and Newly Acquired Offset Printing Machine of the Davao Verbum Dei Media Foundation Inc., located within the San Pablo Parish Compound. Abp. Valles reflected on the Hebrew word “dabar,” which means “word.” God’s word does return empty or void. it takes effect. He then connected it to “Verbum Dei,” which means “Word of God”. The Archbishop expressed that DXGN and Davao Catholic Herald exist to proclaim the Word of God, and through that “dabar”, the Word of God always fulfills.

Fr. Ritsche also shared that today, the wish was fulfilled as we come together, as God wants His Word to be known. He also added that this project is His project and we are His instruments; therefore, we thank the Lord for blessing us. Lastly, he thanked the Archbishop and everyone who attended and witnessed the blessing of the printing area and printing machine.

The purchase of the offset printing is one of the proceeds of the 4K (Kaonan, Kantahan, Kiay Kiay, Kash sadya) Happy Moments Dinner for a Cause of the Davao Verbum Dei Media Foundation Inc., held last May 31, 2025 at Martin Hall, Ateneo de Davao University, Jacinto Campus.
