GKK Birhen Sa Fatima Successfully Celebrates Its 34th Fiesta
The GKK Birhen sa Fatima community joyfully and successfully celebrated its 34th Fiesta October 10, 2026, with the theme “Santa Maria, Sumbanan sa Tinuod nga Pagkapiniyalan”. The celebration was a meaningful occasion for the faithful to deepen their devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, strengthen their relationship with God, and foster unity and fellowship within the community.
The series of activities began on October 8, 2026, with the much-awaited Search for Birhen sa Fatima Look-Alike 2026. Twelve talented and beautiful young candidates, ages 5 to 12, participated in this special event. Their participation brought joy, excitement, and inspiration to the community, highlighting the children’s innocence, talents, and youthful devotion. The activity also encouraged the younger generation to learn more about the Blessed Virgin Mary and her exemplary life of faith, humility, and obedience to God.
On October 9, 2026, the community gathered for the religious procession in honor of Birhen sa Fatima. This solemn activity became a visible expression of the people’s faith and devotion as they joined together in prayer and honored Mary as their spiritual mother and guide. Catechesis for baptism was also conducted to deepen the participants’ understanding of the Christian faith and the importance of the Sacrament of Baptism. Meanwhile, preparations were made at the chapel to ensure the orderly and meaningful celebration of the fiesta Mass.
The highlight of the celebration took place on October 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with the Fiesta Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Amado Arroyo, the parish priest. Through the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, the faithful came together to offer their prayers of thanksgiving and ask for Mary’s continued guidance and intercession. The Mass reminded everyone of the importance of imitating Mary’s faithfulness, humility, love, and wholehearted response to God’s will.
Following the religious celebration, the festivities continued with an exciting basketball game in the mud, which brought laughter, energy, and camaraderie among the participants and spectators. The fun-filled activity provided an opportunity for community members to bond and celebrate together in a spirit of friendship and sportsmanship.
The celebration concluded with a lively musical performance featuring the 98 Band, with vocalist Sinichie Üdū . The music filled the gathering with excitement and happiness, allowing the community to end the fiesta celebration on a joyful note.
The success of the 34th Fiesta of GKK Birhen sa Fatima was made possible through the collective efforts, generous support, and active participation of the community members, organizers Raffy Dhodong Briz, Aileen Briz, volunteers, sponsors, and all those who contributed their time, talents, and resources. Their cooperation reflected the true spirit of Christian fellowship and service.
More than the festivities and activities, the celebration served as a reminder that the true essence of honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary lies in following her example of faithfulness to God. As the community continues its spiritual journey, may Mary remain a guiding light, inspiring everyone to live with unwavering faith, genuine love, humility, and commitment to Christian life.
With grateful hearts, the GKK Birhen sa Fatima community looks back on its 34th Fiesta with joy and thanksgiving, praying that the blessings of the Blessed Virgin Mary will continue to unite and strengthen every family and member of the community.
